Assalam O Alaikum - Peace Be On you all.
A big H E L L O to everyone out there in cyberspace and the 'real' world. As of today Dubai Calling is officially online. Life in the cosmopolitan emirate is a constant struggle for survival but it has its perks at time plus being the retail capital of the middle east means that deciding which mall to crash with your chums can leave you spoilt for choice.
But then again Dubai is definitely one of the the M O S T happening places in the world. As a frequent visitor to Dubai [huh you're not in Dubai - you say], from the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, after having spent the better years of my childhood and growing years there, the region holds a special place in my heart - I guess its the what I truly call home. Even though career demands that I stay in Ras Al Khaimah for a while it nonetheless makes weekend trips to Dubai all the more eagerly anticipated, makes me feel like a kid with the chance to go to Disneyland.
But apart from the oppertunity to binge at the city's night spots and entertainment joints Dubai also carries with it the untold stories of hope and inspiration as well as the usual hassles that accompany all bustling metropolitans. At Dubai Calling its always a new story, a new opinion, stuff that affects us everyday in Dubai and yet we overlook or ignore them.
Well I guess I'll sign off now, got a bus to catch for Dubai's calling....
